TRANSFORM YOUR ORGANISATION'S SOCIAL MOBILITY, SOCIAL VALUE AND EDI OUTCOMES TODAY

WE ARE YOUR TRANSFORMATION PARTNER, MAKING SOCIAL MOBILITY, SOCIAL VALUE AND EDI A REALITY

OUR COMITTMENT

7PK is dedicated to providing people in disadvantaged situations with increased access to opportunities, networks and experiences that are a norm for their more privileged peers; putting them in control of their own social mobility and professional progression. Working with charities, social enterprises, local authorities and corporate companies, we design programmes, deliver expert training and develop robust strategies to transform your organisation’s:

  • Youth and community engagement efforts.

  • Equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.

  • Acquisition and development of underrepresented talent.

OUR MISSION

7PK is on a mission to minimise (and one day remove) the time that people in disadvantaged situations remain in a position of disadvantage.

Our vision is to cultivate cohesive communities led by ambitious individuals who influence change across organisations and institutions, creating systemic progress in society.

INDIVIDUAL

Living with disadvantage easily leads to a lack of true self-belief and makes it challenging for someone to see their worth in wider society. That is why all of our work on the ‘Individual’ level focuses on developing:

  1. Understanding of self

  2. Core confidence

  3. A unique vision

  4. Awareness of transferrable value

OPPORTUNITY

This part of the methodology is vital as people in disadvantaged situations often don’t see opportunities to succeed in the professional world as “for them” due to perceptions of who succeeds and the need to have come from a certain class, ethnic or academic background. Therefore, the opportunities created to overcome this must be co-created with the people we expect to benefit from them to ensure they are both valuable and accessible.

SYSTEM

When opportunity is available to people experiencing disadvantage, they often believe this could be the first and last opportunity that will come their way. Also, they may still assume they should keep up with the “norms” of being in places spaces that were previously unavailable to them. To sustain progress and positive mobility of these individuals and communities, we ensure we are challenging the systems, structures and cultures that have held them back up to this point.

OUR PROMISE

We directly help organisations to strengthen their youth and community engagement, social mobility and EDI practise. This results in improvements in the human experience, quality of upskill and impact of their initiatives… all without a reliance on increased capacity.

7PK uses an approach we call ‘IOS’ to design our solutions and measure the impact of our expert training and strategic consultancy.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT ?

Using an approach that focuses on the ‘Individual, Opportunity and System’, our work engages and empowers people from communities experiencing disadvantage to ensure that not only are opportunities being made available, we ensure positive social mobility and agency over their professional and life outcomes are being sustained.

1. Businesses that want to build capacity across your teams for becoming more equitable, diverse and inclusive; whilst improving your ability to engage with underrepresented youth and communities.

2. Charities and social enterprises that want to develop or strengthen your project or programme delivery, helping you to increase impact or reach new target groups.

3. Educational institutions that want to better engage with specific student populations or increase your brand awareness in specific communities to encourage increased applications from such potential students.

4. Local authorities that want to develop your internal strategy and partnerships, allowing you to improve the access and availability of opportunities for people that live, work and learn in your locality.

Charlene Theophile

 Director of Programmes

Think Forward UK

“ThinkForward’s partnership with 7PK has been transformative since its inception back in 2020. 7PK has brought innovation, intentionality, and expertise to our business mentoring programme, fostering connections and networks for our young black men, employers, and black professionals. 7PK's commitment to addressing racial inequality was evident in their creative programme design. Demonstrating high-quality workshop facilitation, a knowledgeable and deep understanding of identity and culture, and the opportunity to tap into their portfolio of black professional networks, our mentoring programme offered a unique experience that fostered aspiration and unlocked potential. Through our partnership with 7PK, we created opportunities for co-production, learning, and psychological safety, leading to meaningful outcomes for the young people on our Future Leaders programme. Louis Howell and his team's leadership was instrumental, providing positive experiences that cultivated a community to come together and share lived experiences and aspirations, nurturing the decision-making of the next generation..”
